Welcome to Fairest Love Families! This series highlights families throughout the United States who have a love for their Catholic faith and a devotion to the Blessed Mother.

We’d like to introduce you to Claire and Patrick Andrews.

Claire and Patrick met while attending the University of Dallas for their undergrad. Claire is from St. Louis, Missouri, while Patrick grew up in Irving, Texas. The couple has two children, Vincent (2 years) and Edith (8 months).

Do you have any religious traditions that you keep as a family?

We say the family rosary and offer up a decade for each of our children’s vocations.

What role does your faith play in your family life?

Faith is extremely important to us. We try to incorporate prayer both individually and as a family.

What is your favorite devotion or prayer as a family? Why?

Our favorite devotion is saying the Memorare together when we are facing a difficulty.

Share a moment when the Blessed Mother has helped you through a difficult time or a challenge you faced as a family…

Claire: A particular moment doesn’t come to mind, but in the night when I am up with Edith, I repeat Hail Marys to keep myself awake and ask for patience. Thinking of Mary as a mother has been comforting though the trials of motherhood.

What would you want your children to take away from any particular devotion you have to the Blessed Mother?

We want them to know that she is truly their mother and is always there to help them.

If you could impart any wisdom to your children about the faith, what would it be?

Trust in faith at all times, even when life is hard.
